Creeping
We have a bird feeder in the front yard. One evening when the sun was perfect I noticed a lot of action, so I creeped out the front door and tip toed toward the feeder. This woodpecker allowed me to get close enough for the shot I wanted, and I was pleased with the outcome. I have been wanting to get a shot of a bird there for a while and I'm super happy it happened to be this one. I shot this using my 20D and a 100mm macro L series lense. It was taken just as the sun began to set using natural light. Post-Production I used fill light to try and get more detail in the face.
